Al sinds het midden van de jaren zeventig van de vorige eeuw is Kees actief in de country muziek. Hij begon met het schrijven van recensies voor Country Gazette, was redacteur bij het blad Nashville Tennessee en is nauw betrokken bij het wel en wee van RTV Krimpenerwaard waarvan hij voorzitter is. RTV Krimpenerwaard is door de samenvoeging van diverse gemeenten een streekomroep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-b8bec2ce-45af-4df4-b740-d46f48701665\">Daarnaast houdt Kees zich bezig met boekingen en heeft o.a. met Ilse Delange gewerkt. Ook werkt hij veelvuldig samen met Canadese artiesten, waaronder Johnny Reid, George Canyon, South Mountain, The Good Brothers, Sarah Smith, Gord Bamford, enz. Kees maakt meer dan 25 jaar een country programma en steekt zijn voorliefde voor country niet onder stoelen of banken. Hij draait country muziek uit alle windstreken en weet door zijn contacten ook onbekend talent in het zonnetje te zetten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-6f31782c-a4a8-49fc-937b-b95624200ac9\">Inmiddels wordt het programma Crossroads door 45 omroepen in Nederland en Belgi\u00eb uitgezonden.
