Met tien sprookjes, een unieke speeltuin en de iconische, romantische ontwerpen van illustrator Anton Pieck werd de basis gelegd voor wat zou uitgroeien tot een van de meest geliefde attractieparken ter wereld. De creatieve bezieling van Pieck en technicus Peter Reijnders zorgde ervoor dat de sprookjes echt tot leven kwamen, met oog voor detail en een vleugje nostalgische melancholie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Door de decennia heen evolueerde het park van een sfeervol natuurpark naar een volwaardig, internationaal vrijetijdsresort. In 1981 zette de Efteling zichzelf definitief op de kaart voor durfals met de opening van de Python, destijds de grootste stalen achtbaan op het Europese vasteland. Later volgden grensverleggende, rijk gethematiseerde &#8216;darkrides&#8217; zoals Droomvlucht, Fata Morgana en het indrukwekkende Symbolica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vandaag de dag is de Efteling een magische wereld waar modern pretparkgeweld en eeuwenoude vertellingen hand in hand gaan.
